When leaving your child, sometimes for the first time, it is so important for you to know they are in safe, caring hands. Please meet our wonderful staff team:
Tracy is our Apple Tree Pre-school manager and has made a massive impact since she arrived.
She has over 13 years childcare experience working with children of all ages in a variety of roles in nurseries, schools and after school clubs throughout her career.
Tracy has a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce. She says "I love being part of the childrens development and education as they begin to form relationships with their peers and we watch them progress to the next stage of their lives".
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, reading a good book.
Having gained a BTEC National Certificate in Childhood Studies at Exeter College in 1999, Marian started work at Apple Tree as a Play Leader. She left for a short period in 2013 in order to look after her Grandchildren, and returned in 2014 as an Assistant – she is now a Level 3 Family Worker. Marian enjoys meeting up with family and friends, reading, going to concerts, the cinema, and the theatre. Marian says, "Apple Tree has a warm and friendly atmosphere where children become independent and thrive through play."

Sam is the newest member of the Apple Tree team starting just before Christmas 2018.
She grew up in Sidmouth, loves living in Devon and feels it is a great place to bring up children.
Professionally Sam holds a National Diploma in Nursery Nursing and a BA (hons) Early Years Degree.
She undertook her degree after having her first two children, although in recent years has worked in Retail, coming back to childcare 18 months ago.
Personally she says she tends to be known for her sweet tooth, walking everywhere and her rapport with children.
In her spare time Sam enjoys baking, reading, Pilates, drawing, long walks, family holidays and killer sudoku.
Sam says she finds her role at Apple Tree Pre School "interesting and rewarding, each day is different and it never ceases to be amazing to see a child growing in confidence and ability".
